Synopsis

Despite occasional setbacks, Operation Strix has remained on track to extract sensitive information from the enigmatic politician Donovan Desmond. To this end, spy Loid Forger has managed to maintain his pretend family consisting of his telepathic daughter, Anya; assassin wife, Yor; and their clairvoyant dog, Bond. Still the only one aware of everyone's true identities, Anya tries to sustain the family's cohesion while working to befriend Donovan's son Damian, her Eden Academy classmate.

However, Anya's efforts instead earn her another Tonitrus Bolt, bringing her closer to getting expelled and jeopardizing the operation's success. Hearing the news, Loid faints from shock. In his unconsciousness, he reminisces about his tragic past and his journey to becoming a spy. Realizing what Operation Strix means to him and the world, Loid finds renewed motivation. Although they each work toward their own covert goals, the Forgers continue to cherish their chaotic yet blissful family life.

Episode 1 was great. Loid, Yor, Anya and Bond were out having a nice time at the park. Anya was enjoying three whole scoops of ice cream too. That's when she picked up on some tired overworked employee and the disaster he would have, via Bond. She panicked and made a lie about wanting to go home early to study, then pointed out the worker and Loid intervened while Yor saved an old man from being crushed from the worker's initial rampage. It ended well, in the end thanks to Loid handling things.

Fiona had a tough job lined up needed to get some forged government documents. Loid sent her to Franky who could get her in touch with someone to help. They were meeting him at a club and Franky had Fiona to pretend to be his girlfriend, and he went overboard introducing her to everyone. In the end, she wasn't happy and "disciplined" him. The guy they met refused the job, but after some government thugs chased him and Fiona helped, he agreed. Franky didn't want to work with her in the future.

 

Episode 2 was done. A real menace of a teacher, well disciplinary officer, Donna Schlag returned to the school. She's very strict and gives out the Tonitrus Bolts like candy for anything. Anya was fully prepared, but Damien forgot his handkerchief and thought it was over for him as another kid got a Tonitrus Bolt for the same thing. Anya thought she had packed two so gave him one, only for it to have never have happened and she ended up getting punished. Poor Loid was shocked to death.

We get some backstory of Loid as a kid next. His father was very strict and it seemed a bit unfair to Loid, even getting badly scolded and even hit over basically just playing with the other kids. Seems like his mother and father often fought too. His father also had some role in the war, I guess he must die here probably. Loid lied to his father to get some money to spend on a toy gun to play with the other boys, but the lie really tore him up. He tried to get some work by working at the shop of an older lady which it went to shit and some bombs were dropped. How awful.

 

Episode 3 was good. Continuing the flashback, things really went to shit with the bombings, Loid assumed his friends died but at least his mother was ok, and he and her went to stay with family. It seems his father died in the war too, but it kind of went unsaid. When Loid went out fishing for dinner, the bombs were dropped again, and this time his mother and other family died, so he wound up orphaned on the streets surviving. He adopted a dead man's name when he was a little older and enlisted in the army before he turned 18. He rose to the rank of Sargent and was injured during a run in with Franky of all people, so ended up no longer being on active duty for a time. That's when he ran into his childhood friends who actually escaped... only for them to joined a doomed mission the next day and die.

Loid was soon recruited by a spy to be an intelligence officer and that's when he came too with Anya bearing the bad news again. But, Loid was ok, especially as Anya is becoming better friends with Damien.

 

I loved it all, very great.

 

Episode 4 was good. First half focused on the handler Sylvia and a newer spy, who seems awfully gullible about things. Immediately believing the gossip scandal from the tabloid about their target even with Sylvia telling him it was a load of crap. Then doing a 180 and believing the next print about it all being bogus. In the end, they averted a crisis by taking out a would-be assassin.

I guess the kids were meant to go on a field trip, but the original bus driver fell ill causing delays. Anya sat alone so Henderson asked for her help carrying some stuff in exchange for some snacks, which she agreed. Although he did try giving her some advice, that might have gone over her head. That night, Loid nearly died again thinking she got a third Tonitrus Bolt.

 

Episode 5 was good. Yor went to the shops and was intent on getting some of those sweats for Anya, and on her outing she saved a woman Melinda who turned out to be Damian's mother, although she didn't find that out until later. She was roped into playing volleyball with the mother group and was invited to continue attending their group. She was shocked to find out that Melinda was Damian's mother.

Although reluctant, when Loid found out he was happy for Yor to continue going with the group. LMAO at the end Becky thinking Anya wanting to get closer to Damian is about love.

 

That's fair. I don't know if I have a favourite, I rather enjoy them all basically. Oh damn, cool she seemed to like it. What a first anime.

 

Episode 6 was good. Poor Loid had to deal with the director of his job just hating him for everyone loving him. But, he got ahead of all of the failures that were maliciously set up for him. The final one, was the director calling to report Loid as a spy, by he had Franky intercept the call so he and Fiona pretended to take Loid, only for them to turn it around on the director, and have Loid save him by trying to take the blame. At least that cleared things up.

Anya tried to get Damian to invite her and her family over but he refused and he could not believe their mothers became friends. On the bus ride to their outing, it was taken hijacked and taken over by criminals! I wonder if Loid or Yor will save the day.

 

Episode 7 was good. The hijackers had the kids all scared, and thanks to her mind reading, Anya found out where they were going and so her and Becky sent out an SOS message while Damian distracted them. Anya got a bomb strapped to her neck and was very panicked until she found out it was fake. Damian asked to take her bomb, but was given his own. Not sure if his is actually real, but seems fake too. Thanks to the SOS the police have surrounded the bus, although they blacked out the windows. The state security is also there and they want to just storm the bus even if the kids die. Loid is tied up with another mission, so he won't appear. Yuri is looking into the other bus, but was blocked from helping Anya.

 

Episode 8 was good. The leader Billy came from a military background I guess his wife died at some point and he raised his daughter alone. She got involved with the Red Circus which apparently was a student protest group against the government, and they clashed as he didn't want her in danger, but she didn't care. In the end, she wound up dead which drove him over the edge. Thanks to Anya basically saying the same things his daughter would, it drove Billy to take the guns and bomb outside and surrender. The driver of the bus tried to make a getaway and not end it there, but that was stopped. Things worked out well.

 

Episode 9 was good. Anya, Becky, Damian and Bill each received a star for their contributions during the ordeal. When the parents picked up their kids, Damian and Anya were the last ones, with Yor running to collect Anya. Yor eased Damian telling him that Melinda was on the way. She was worried about him at first, but then she's like bipolar or something when he mentioned not telling his father, she wished he died and was a mistake. How strange. Even still, she cooked all of the food for him when he ate that night, and she stays in a villa, so lives isolated seemingly.

 

Episode 10 was good. The poor teacher had trouble sleeping and thought it was PTSD from the bus incident, and maybe he knew that it wasn't really, but after engaging with Loid, it was apparently it was his wife. In the end, things ended up improving thanks to Loid helping him.

Yor went out with her work colleagues and they were in disbelief by seemingly how perfect Loid was. It got into Yor's head that fighting was normal, and with her being smashed after a drink, she was going to try and kill him to keep the marriage. Things worked out in the end, and she ended up fainting over the thought of Loid kissing her after her work colleagues said that it was normal, once she got home to Loid.

Anya enjoyed some extra popularity from things, but Damian wasn't too happy with it.
