They advertise this phone as being for long term use, as something that you can use for seven years. EMMC storage for that long is just bad. If you plan on selling a device that you expect people to use for seven bloody years, UFS 2.2 should be the bare minimum in 2024-25. Even Samsung and Motorola give at least UFS 2.1 on their cheapest 5G entry level devices (and both of those brands are known for giving comparatively slower storage than the competition).

8 GB is actually enough, if the RAM is fast enough and the system is well optimized. At least if you're not a heavy mobile gamer. Galaxy A35/A55 with 8 GB RAM from 2024 will still be quite usable in 2030, unless Android piles on the bloat like mad and make it a RAM whore like Windows. And keep it mind that I say this for One UI, which is already RAM intensive. Stock Android and Debian mobile will fare even better.

They legitimately made somewhat of a deal of iphone 16 finally bringing in the ability to move app tiles around on home-screen as you wish. They legit made somewhat of a deal of a basic feature Android phones have had for 14 years.

They also tried to pat themselves on the back for making iphone 16 and later models switch to USB-C, completely ignoring the fact that they had no choice but to do so due to regulations in the EU, several US states, and similar upcoming regulations in several non-EU European nations, Arab nations, India and China (the last two of which are the two biggest smartphone markets in the world).
