Yeah. But after Carl Pei left, OnePlus became a shadow of its former self. Their flagship phones and their R versions still offer good value compared to Samsung and iPhone. The OnePlus 11R and 12R are both great value for money, for example. But their mid-range phones suck in one way or the other; they'll appear good on paper at first glance, but be handicapped in some areas. One of the biggest ongoing issues is a firmware fukk-up that results in OnePlus phones outright not working in some countries, becoming essentially cameras that you can connect to wi-fi.

Then there are Samsung and Motorola, which will work in literally every nation on the planet except Turkmenistan and North Korea. Heck, Samsung will theoretically work even in N Korea if you shove a 3G N Korean sim in one. I think there is one N Korean instagram channel, whose uploader uses a high end Samsung (obviously a government propaganda channel, but you get my point about Samsungs working even there).

 

It's okay. Bogdanoff Shanks died after refusing vaccine.

 

Not just management. Their customer care used to be great. Now it's shit. By comparison, Oppo and Realme have really upped their customer care departments. They're genuinely good now, especially Oppo. The only saving grace with OnePlus servicing is that their phones at least last five years without any major issues i.e. they don't often need repair to begin with. Solid build quality. That has stayed a constant, at least.

How can two sister companies that make products in the same factory have such different approaches to customer care and servicing?

 

Shareholders are a cancer.
