    It is a coincidence. The only allusion to Canids in his name is 'Coyote'. Starrk is named after a French architect.

    A reminder: Data Books confirm that the Visored's Hollow Masks grant a power boost comparable to bankai (at the cost of lasting only three minutes and taking a toll on their stamina).

    Starrk essentially whooped two captains with bankai level power. And he seemingly did it with utmost ease.

    Man 283 was depressing. Starrk and Lilynette's original form was lonely so they split their soul into 2. Starrk was such a Chad in the beginning but when Lilynette was involved he became nervous. RIP. Aizen was like the Espadas are mid and proceeded to take care of #3 himself. Tbh I wouldnt be able to sit through another Espada fight lol, so no harm there xD. Wonder what he'll do next

    283 was good. RIP Starrk and Lilynette. Yeah, Starrk basically just wanted to not be lonely, hence the soul splitting and being thankful to Aizen. Harribel was doing fine against 3, but then backstab GG she was taking too long. RIP. Now it should get interesting next ep!

    Suffered through 284 to get to the present. Don't really care about Harribel enough to enjoy her backstory. I bet next episode the focus shifts on Uryu/Renji and #0

    There are two kinds of Bleach fans: Those who enjoyed Harribel's backstory. Those who suffered it. Nothing in-between.

    A fun fact is that her backstory was never revealed in the manga. It is anime exclusive. However, it is treated as canon.

    Regarding Thousand Year Blood War, it is the other way around: The anime is the true canon, not the manga. Kubo, when writing & drawing the TYBW arc manga, was dealing with several health issues (to the point that he needed surgery) and even suicidal depression (he pushed through only because of a deceased fan's letter). The Blood War anime adaptation is his "true vision" for what that arc should have been in the manga, and includes content meant for the manga that was canned due to time constraints and Kubo's own health issues.

    That makes a lot of sense, because it kind of felt like filler, and while it's serviceable, some parts felt a bit cringe.

    But yeah, aware about TYBW anime, I think we discussed that when we were both watching that as it aired.

    284 was alright, but definitely kind of felt like filler. xD The followers seemed to be Sung-sun, Mila Rose and Apacci and it was implied they died back then lol. The Shark Arrancar was kind of meh, and Idk, feel like a Vasto Lord probably should've been able to deal with it. Ah well, better stuff next ep maybe.

    Yeah. That always bothered the fukk out of me. That hammerhead Adjuchas, even after becoming an Arrancar, should not have been a match for a Vasto Lorde, especially one powerful enough to directly challenge Baraggan.

    The anime staff at Pierrot really took some liberties with power-scaling at times. There are actually much worse examples than that one from some of the filler arcs.

    The Bleach anime 20th anniversary PV gave us a look at what the Bleach OG anime would look like in TYBW anime style. It was amazing.



    Also... They really made Byakuya look as canonically handsome as he is supposed to be in this :aizen

    285 was okay. Completely forgot about Wonderweiss xD WW vs Mashiro was like Down syndrome vs autism xD RIP Hiyori(?) Hope Orihime will save her whenever she reaches. She was indeed baited by Aizen and stabbed by Gin. Rukia Renji and Chad vs #0
