600 Members, 100k posts announcement (Lol)

Apologies first off… i did mean to make this post, particularly, a while back when we reached 600 members, and then again when we managed 100,000 Posts. Things came up, and/or weren’t done yet - per se, and so i was forced pushed this back a bit.



With that out of the way, i would like to give a big thanks to everyone that’s stuck around with us through our ups, and downs. Specially to our active members who help keep this community going, and give us a reason to improve upon ourselves as a site, and as staff. I also want to welcome all the new members, you’re all cool people. We’ve made some progress recently, well, it’s safe to say that we have made quite a lot of progress. So that’s also a great thing, without a doubt.


I Got some special thanks i’d like to say as well!



Thanks to @Gobb , He’s developed a bunch of our features, and gone out of his way to get the users what they wanted, not to mention the things he’s working on currently, which should be something to look forward to!



Thanks to @Kagerou , We have a love/hate friendship, but he’s jumped on a couple of opportunities and gotten us active again, practically, still a weeaboo though.



Thanks to Aron, aka @Aerysaurus , for her recent work towards our themes, we’ve now got a great template to go about and do things with, which is great.



Thank you @Rohan , for being you and staying edgy, you furry loving edgelord. But seriously, we appreciate you, my dude.



Thanks to @Arc , too, he remade our current staff userbars, which needed an update - A BIG UPDATE, THEY WERE A FEW YEARS OLD. But you won’t be seeing them just yet, as all the userbars will be getting an update as well - expect a full on release when Gobb finishes his update to our Pro feature.



Lastly, because i’m done with saying thanks to everyone, Thanks to our staff, Aka Loj, Zen, and Nova, you guys help a lot with keeping things up to date, and managing the community <3



So, you may have noticed the notifications here got a Revamp. They’re now black, and show at the top instead of the bottom. I’d like some insight on your thoughts about it, should it be back at the bottom instead, or is it staying at the top as it is, alright? Do let me know.



Also, i added a navigation menu which should be to the bottom right of your screen? It’s more or less to access different areas of the site, easier and/or faster. If you’ve got a suggestion for something that should be added to this menu, go ahead and list, and give a reason as to why. If you don't like this Menu as a whole, you can Hide it via your preferences.



That said, we’ve got a few additions coming in soon. I’ll list them below, as well as long term planned features, which should be seeing the light of the day, by this year.

• A Rep system - Yeah, like you see on Vbulletin sites and such, but ours is more so for the sake of mocking it, the irony or - i guess you could say, Memes? I mean, you’ll see what we mean soon enough. #It’sOver9000AmiriteGobbu
  
  
• A homepage - This has gone through a lot of conceptual builds/Trashing due to dislike of it, but, we did finally come to an even ground with it, deciding to use Xenforo itself to get it done. So, you should technically be seeing this one sooner than later, that i assure you.
  
  
• Sd’s Shop - This speaks for itself, aside from Pro - We’ll finally be putting that Keno to good use. Not sure how it works just yet, but i’m sure you can think of it as a Market as well. The original idea was to have it so that you could buy all kinds of things users could produce, and for the RP itself. This is actually already Done, just a matter of some back end work and a full release will be coming.
  
  
• Blogging system - think of something like wordpress, for now. You’ll be able to make your own blogs and post on them, so on and so forth. This is more of at a beginning stage, but it shouldn’t take too long itself. If you have ideas about how this blog should look, work, and feel - by all means list it down, and we’ll see what we can do. I’d like for it to be an actual part of our site, instead of it being a watered down thread maker.
  
  
• The Stream - Oh boy, this has been worked on for quite a while. It’s not as easy as it seems, though. Albeit it’s technically finished, there are things that still need to be done to it, in order for it to be out and working. Think of something like Rabb.it, that’s our idea behind it, but hopefully better as a whole.

Looking forward to hopefully wrapping up the loose ends of the pro stuff and the rep soon enough and pushing that out. A few more test things to do here and working out numbers for the rep system. Also the look of the rep blocks.

I'm pretty keen to look into making this blogging meme, honestly sounds like it could be pretty easy to pull off, might take a while to fully learn how to hook into the likes system, though.

Man, I haven't touched the stream in too long, mainly because the issues we had with the test site for ages and me getting rather busy with other things, but I'd like to try get back into work on that sometime soon.

Thanks to all the members that have joined up and helped the activity! The site was at a low before you all decided to sign up and join us here, which we're most thankful for! A community is no use without members to participate and enjoy!

Mmm, I think it being a navtab is more so noticeable, considering it is a system in itself. But then again, I think people spend more time on their profile as it is, probably. Depends, maybe make a poll and see what people think?

 

The only issue with it being a navtab is it'd be a bitch for users to view other users blogs.

 

Actually you're right, hold up, LMAO. Yeah maybe a link on profiles for theirs, and a navtab for yours per se. Or, the NavTab could take you to some sort of place where blogs would show, I mean, that's an idea anyways what I've just said here rn rn in this post uwu ejfjejddhdh
