The government would be stupid not to legalise it at this stage. It's a bit ridiculous that they now have to debate on the legislation itself, just goes to show how pathetic this conservative government is.

Yes it's all very silly but at this point they can't turn around and say no anyway - with celebrations everywhere the country would riot if it was denyed. It's all for liberals formalities now. Which is annoying but still

Joking aside, this is splendid. Now this government just has to pass same-sex marriage and thus, prove to the people that they care more about human rights than outdated nonsensical beliefs.
