    Wife needs a new laptop for work and casual gaming. Thinking of a new purchase three or four months from now.

    I have a bad idea:

    Give the wife my Aspire 7, because she wants the 15.6 inch display and dedicated number pad. She also wants to play Age of Empires and other RTS games and racing games (she hates shooters though).

    I will buy a new laptop with Ryzen 5 4600H and GTX 1660 Ti (well, it's technically an older model but available for a steal right now in a lot of stores). Or may be even a Nitro 5 with Ryzen 5 5600H and RTX 3060.

    I feel like the 1660ti's age might be kind of showing compared to a 3060. Not to say it's bad, but 4 months from now it's kind of fairly old, nearing 3.5 years.

    These OP fights are relying too much on a thing I never liked in shounen which is the inconsistent portrayal of what the characters can survive. Naruto did this too occasionally with techniques like lion combo that use blunt force of impact to crush your neck or skull or whatever but then later on characters get thrown into a rock and make a hole in it yet still walk which is stupid but at least it happened rarely. In op sanji, a regular human tanks skull crushing attacks first from pearl and now from these fish dudes and Im like... how? The name of the attack is literally jaw crushing kick or whatever and dude doesnt even crack a tooth. Same with luffy, bullets dont hurt him which is cool but blades do so when arlong bites his wrist how the hell did he not cut it off considering how he can crush a canon ball?

    It just takes me out of the moment and I don't like it.

    i have a nitro 5 laptop and it runs like a dream, i run ff14 on full high graphic mode and it has no complaints

    You're looking way too deep into a kids comic my dude. Do not expect any sort of realism in that regard. I don't want to spoil you but set your expectations level. Oda very, very rarely if ever kills any characters in the current time. Deaths are mostly in the past. Likewise, I wouldn't expect to see much in the way of permanent or crippling injuries.

    Theres a limit to unwarranted suspension of disbelief tho afaik op isnt supposed to be just good enough for kids, I am allowed to expect more
