I don't know about Btooom, but Nochijou could use a new season.

Various issues arise:
Falling TV ratings and viewership
Falling revenues from the manga sales and from anime DVD/blu-ray sales
Falling out and disagreements with the manga author
Other financial trouble for the animating studio

And, of course:
Death of the original manga/light-novel author

A1 pictures animated Magi. While refusing to give it a third season they went on to animate its spinoff Adventures of Sinbad.
Magi 4 week sales dropped to some 320k for last volume but that was when it didn't have anime for like 3 years
Fairy Tail final volume has like 230k with anime and was animated till finale by A1 pictures only

 

Of all the Luffy serious/angry faces, the one from the latest chapter is hands down the best one yet. You can see his anger just from one panel.
