I think main problem with china is transparency . China in many ways are very similar to us , they respect their parents , work hard and earn money for their family . I was amazed they are very much like the indians .

China has aspiration but india lacks it . They want to be like USA and be economy superpower . I know most of my peps are damn lazy most dont really have those aspirations to much politics and religion is destroying the country !!

 

Germany has robust healthcare system and no country in this world have it not even USA .

I would say it only country that could compete Germany in healthcare is Nordic countries and Canada .

the problem in India is uneven distribution of recoursed.
In Bihar and UP the per capita access to hospital is so low and quality is so poor that its sitting on a time bomb

i have been to kerala their healthcare are equivalent to south korea .

most south states have decent health care probably politician are voted on issues rather than religion or caste .

 

I would say this virus spreads very fast best response is test and isolate , Covid can be cured in initial and mild stages . However we need to look at reality that most indians have high mortality rate because of pre existing diseases .

One good thing is unlike the west india have less day care centers as parents tend to stay with their son's house . It might be proving advantage to them because of herd immunity factor that is protecting them dying .

I do agree the stark reality is that healthcare should be top priority once the epidemic gets over .

Modi is also a showman. He's mostly just personality cult and not an actual leader who gets shit done. It's mostly Amit Shah who organises the stuff and gets things done behind the scenes. Modi is just a distraction, a public face, a doll to be paraded.

Modi and Trump are similar in a lot of ways - both poorly educated and lacking in scientific literacy, they came to power riding on a personality cult, surrounded by equally incompetent 'yes' men (save for a handful of behind-the-scenes dealers), both have armies of paid trolls harassing their detractors online (and offline as well in Modi's case), both vehemently anti-feminist and pandering to ultra-nationalist religious zealots, both employing foreign powers' or powerful corporates' help in elections, both fake as hell.

The only difference is that Modi seems to behave in a mature manner. He doesn't lash out like a petulant middle school child when he doesn't get his way or if someone criticizes him (though he has an army of paid trolls for that).

This is not correct to say trump is ignorant and poor in science . He is from UPenn Wharton college , those business schools are pretty tough to get into and his uncle is a researcher in MIT .

I dont think its completely fault of trump , he actually did shut down flights from china no one really predicted pandemic bomb in europe .
