Well depends on prefecture, Tokyo is fairly modern. Lot of young people now learn english in school and follow western news.

Even i was about to be transferred to Osaka this year for 4 month , courtsey of corona i do think japan is changing i interact with my colleague they are very curious about outside world as well.

Well i would say japan is still racist society , as a tourst its a great country but youll be treated as guest not one of their own its sad but truth.

If you plan to work theyll welcome you with arm but if you plan to live there forever theyll turn their back.

My brother lives in hokkaido for his master's degree, he learnt japanese in 2 years ,he is doing well but told me the people still look him as a Gaijin (outsider ) its sad but truth though.

I did hear they are counting with co morbid issues as covid .

Lot of foul games with death as well in US are being counted you well died of infulenza.
If we truly talley those number . Not many actually died but still covid is probing fataly for co morbid cases the one with serious ailment and past illness.

Very few are dying directly of covid. WHO and pharma lobby are playing with economy like never before. How did china miracleously got well so people are not dying ?
