Anime Kakegurui Episode 8 Discussion

Yumemite's probably not alone in hating otaku fans secretly behind closed doors lol. I get that shaking your fans' hands is part of the Japanese idol culture but that must be really taxing on the idol. I loved the crazy facial expressions they make in the episode. So next ep should wrap up the Idol arc. How do you think they will squeeze the Kaede and Tower arcs into the last 3 eps? 1 and a half eps per arc? Man I really wish we'd get a 13th episode that way things won't be too rushed.

 

Yeah or they might split episdoe 9 to 2 parts the first part will end the idol arc and the second part will start the Kaede arc.

 

You may be right because the games following are easy for the producer to skim through. Don't want them to take too much time on the Idol arc because there's more materials to be covered in the next 2 arcs

those who haven't read the manga would probably not be able to tell the differences between the real Kirari and the fake Kirari and I just love how the producer made it so obvious for us to catch onto them. Her voice sounds slightly different, the usual predatory gleam in Kirari's eyes is also missing here (or maybe I'm wrong because that's how Kirari normally looks at Sayaka).... and look at how Sayaka just instinctively winced at the touch because she knew that's not Kirari's hand.

 

I am mean most of the battle will be about them singing in a manga you can't show that in just a view pages while in a anime you can let them sing for 3 minutes while they are doing other things and yeah just Chapter 33 has enough for a whole episode.

also nice catch I didn't notice that at all I so can't wait for her meeting with Mary and what comes after to get animated in s2!

 

Yeah I got nervous for a second because in Ep 9 preview it doesn't show Kaede (only his voice speaking one line) so I thought Yumemite would get another whole episode to herself.

Sayaka does that in the manga too. I missed it the first time reading so when I saw her wince again on my reread, I totally had a "ah so that's why!" moment The camera also stayed a second longer on the "Vice President" after Yumemite and Kaede said "let's leave it to us 2nd years" before exiting the meeting room. That's foreshadowing right there

 

The preview shows just a little bit of the episode after all. and true true I also liked Mary's speachless blush when she saw Yumeko at the end she is so in love haha :D

 

Do you know how much the author has a say in the anime? Because I honestly believe he told the producer to make the show gayer than the manga lol

 

The fanbase want that ship can you really blame him and the anime producters really 90% of the fandom want to see Yumeko together with Mary even the official anthology of the series is full with Yumeko x Mary written by many well known Yuri atuhors that the author him self choose for the series anthology
I mean even in Kari Yumeko and Mary are all over each other and blush and shit :D

 

So I'm guessing only a minority actually ships yumeko with suzui in japan huh. As it should be because yeeeessss let the ship Yumeko + Mary sail!

 

Indeed! just like the fans overseas the most support Yumeko x Mary while a some amount of fans want Yumeko to be with Suzui.

 

Idol Yumeko would be quite the sight to see.

Yumeko has formed a nice group behind her as well, even that ex-student council member joined the entourage.
