Bleach OG anime's censorship was worse than for AOT. Some of the censorship was downright stupid.

Thankfully, Blood War arc anime does not suffer from the same issues.

 

286 was good. Ichigo and Yammy got interrupted by Byakuya and Kenpachi. Kenpachi is going to enjoy this Ichigo and Unohana are being sent to Karakura town with Rukia.

Have you two been watching the Shinigami Illustrated Picture Book omakes at the end of each episode? They are genuinely good.

287 was good. Unohana and Ichigo left. Unohana explained Aizens techniques and you have to see him do a shikai to fall under his illusion. Lmao at Unohana about the be angry Ichigo seemingly has not yet seen Aizen perform a shikai so we have a chance. Ichigo at 50% is equal to Unohana. Yammy about to be eaten by Byakuya and Kenpachi

 

Yammy was struggling against an injured Zaraki with his bleeding eyepatch still on. Byakuya joining in is not going end well for his fat-ass.

Also... When Unohana repeats herself while smiling, you damn well do as she says. Or else...

Kenny has amazing battle instincts. They told him that Nnoitra would be a possibly fun opponent, but that Yammy is not worth his time. Kenny didn't even take his eyepatch off. Jusy goes to show that Yammy being ranked Zero means nothing. Starrk is indeed the most powerful Espada.

Two problems Ichigo had here:

1. He was at 50% power to begin with.

2. A shinigami's performance in combat is affected by their mental state. Ichigo was mentally fukked from everything that happened above the dome, preventing him from "sharpening" his reiatsu enough to do much damage against Yammy. It was also the reason he could not focus his reiatsu properly to make that road he and Unohana had to run on inside the Garganta.

Also, for what it's worth, Ichigo did seemingly do better against Yammy in the manga. He cut deeper and prevented Yammy from firing off a fully charged up Cero Oscuras (which, I will remind you, is at least ten times as powerful as a normal Cero).
