And it seems like you need what are termed "road running" shoes. These prioritize heel strikes and help protect your heel arch in the long run.

Word of advice: stay away from Decathlon as far as running shoes go. They make fantastic walking and hiking shoes, even sandals. But their running shoes are donkey-shit when it comes to protecting your knees.

You could consider this one particular Weinbrenner model, that retails for like Euro 33. It's more of a walking/hiking shoe really. But you can run with it, I think. It's very light in weight and water resistant to a decent degree (considering it was made for South Indian rains).
