I don't understand how AAA game developers who already made the game but just ported it to PC manage to DESTROY and actually RELEASE a game in such bad state. How do they ALLOW to do such a newbie mistake?

Naughty Dog delayed TLOU1 PC port and it's somehow so bad that it's unbelievable previously releasing TLOU on PS3, remaster on PS4 and now a remake on PS5 doing it flawlesly.

Same thing with Elden Ring, a game of 60 euros having optimization problems is just so unbelievable to me. Naughty Dog priced TLOU1 on PC full price and it's in an UNPLAYABLE state.

I can't for the love of me understand how they agree to release a game in such state. Like surely they know they'll get so much shit for it?

I know bro. It's atrocious how they are getting away with it. In the case of TLOU they outsourced the port to Iron Galaxy which also did the dogshit port of Uncharted. Meanwhile they literally bought Nixes to assist with PC ports and they did a fantastic job with Spiderman and a few other titles...

Even worse, that the upscaling techniques are just used as a crutch for dogshit work. Devs and management need to pull their heads out of their asses. I think the main culprit is probably a lack of talent compared to older days when it comes to pc porting. Not to mention, if they use their own proprietary engine, they mostly have to either port it themselves or if they outsource it, they have to help the port job anyway.

I understand the whole there is infinite configs vs 1, but man, come on, even with the recommended specs it still runs like shit with them, there is no excuse for that.

Games nowadays release in such shit states it's just sad...you can't even buy a game on launch anymore to be satisfied with the product you bought lol, imagine paying 60 euros for TLOU never playing it before and you get this shit...

Yup. Not a good look considering Playstation is trying to make up extra money on PC to recoup rising development costs.

    Going home today!

  7. Why are you surprised? They shit out bad products because its cheaper, less time consuming and they know they can. Why waste resources making a quality product when idiots will pay the same amount for a shit one?

  8. The problem isnt with companies, we always knew they only cared about profits. Its the consumers who have lost their ability to say no that are fueling this behavior and its never going to change.

I understand what you're trying to say, but the logic is kind of backwards. They're losing sales because of the issues, not to mention the possibility that it will affect future potential sales and long term sales. It doesn't really make much sense for the long term profitability of it if they continue only release poor quality products. Every time people get burned, it'll keep reducing the overall sales even if it's only a little at a time. Especially when you consider that the entire point of them doing a port is to recoup the ever increasing cost of developing these games. Clearly they could just cut down the initial costs first, but they don't lol.

  11. I don't think they're losing anything. The last Pokemon game was utter shit and yet it sold twice as well as God of War. The fans will eat whatever turd they're served so there's no helping it.

In this case, mainline Pokemon game will aways sell good. While TLOU already was being shit on, this just more salt to the wound.

Gobb's right, look at Cyberpunk for example, after a horrid launch I am 100% sure they lost credibility for any new game.
