If it's higher refresh then most likely it's using more battery, which is worse. Then there's the fact that a laptop for gaming meeting 144hz is iffy at best. So it seems kind of pointless if it cost more. If it was the same cost or less, it's obviously fine, but need to look at a lot.

But why is it bad in laptop factor when 144 is literally better and faster than 60? When you get used to 144 or higher than 60, you notice the change immediately

True, but 144 feels and looks much better, idk what's the about it

  5. Only reason I'm thinking about this model is because its 100% sRGB and an IPS display, dont really care about 144hz

Well ofc it costs more since 144 is better, lets be real IF you are to game on a laptop, you will use a charger anyways, on day to day use to save battery, just lower the settings if you care about battery so much

Yeah 100% man, assuming you could just clock it to 60hz too, that would be even better, assuming it uses more power running 144hz.

  8. Idk about that, only thing I know how to fiddle with is replacing RAM and SSD since I never owned a laptop before :hmm2

wish pcs were still affortable, I really don't like laptops

Yes, but there's no point if the games run at like 70 frames anyway lol. Again, on the basis the cost is a lot more then the benefit there's no real point in it, but there's some validity to getting it. At the end of the day do whatever you want.

Usually you can just right click and select the hz, or sometimes the monitors reach 144hz or 120hz by overclocking/overdrive and sometimes they have settings for chosing monitor hz, I imagine there would be simple settings somewhere for a laptop lol.

But it doesn't need to be games at all, the screen is much more fluid with 144, it's insane how much of a difference it makes!!

When you get used to 144, 60 looks so bad
