    I actually can't tell if you're shitposting anymore or not. But in all seriousness, Amazon is like the largest E-Commerce retailer. So you can get brand new things and there are third party sellers too, which allows for new and used, etc. Has shit from food to electronic devices.

    4K laptop display is absolutely pointless for you since you want a laptop for basic use and streaming. 1080p is more than enough for that right now. @Laraib and I are both getting by on 1080p despite actively gaming on our laptops.

    4K laptop right now is a waste of money, waste of battery power, needlessly taxing on hardware, and a potential huge expense if it ever comes to repair.

    Get a 1080p laptop. Even if you get something with an upper middle class RTX GPU, you're still better off with 1080p. It's right now the more future-proof option.

    My sister-in-law got her new laptop from Amazon. Been good so far.

    Just make sure to go to company's official site and register the warranty.

    Don't forget the performance hit if he gets the one with only the shitty Intel iGPU.

    Also,
    For roughly two-thirds the price of the Zenbook model Joe mentioned, you can get an Acer Predator Helios 300 with Ryzen 5 4600H or 5600H, RTX 3060 Mobile, and 1 TB SSD. Literally the only two differences are 1080p 144 Hz display instead of 4K and no second display.

    Yeah. Ryzen 5 4600H is roughly comparable in performance to i7-10850H while running cooler and consuming 25-30% less power. And the Ryzen 5 5600H is roughly 20% better than the 4600H at the exact same wattage due to generational improvement and slightly higher clocks. RTX 3060 is obviously a better choice than the 2060 in the Zenbook model he mentioned due to being newer.

    Only disadvantages I can think of with the Acer Predator series when compared to the Zenbooks are their shitty speakers and much less battery endurance. But, besides those, they're built well and will serve you well.

    ROG for gaming and entertainment (though the Acer Predator series is better value for money). Zenbook for everyday use and productivity. But the Zenbook is way overpriced for that, primarily due to the 4k display and second display.
