Told you guys this weeks ago.

Anyway... How hardware hungry is it? I hear it's potentially bloated as ****.

    Goodnight, turkey petter +.+

Could be because vm but it didn't seem to run great with 8gb ram assigned and I kind of forgot to check the size lol. Anyway now I cant boot so guess I have to do a clean install._.

    Sigh...

Windows 10 needs a CPU capable of maxing Crysis 2 and 6-8 GB RAM for somewhat smooth everyday normal use. Why do I get the feeling Windows 11 is going to eat a lot more resources than that?

I think their issue is, they just need to make a new OS. Not this carrying over old shit to the new one. Seems like it's a "pretty" (ugly) UI but all still built on the old OS itself. Basically, windows itself is like if you keep bringing an older OS over and over and over with updates and new pcs instead of doing a clean OS install.

Ugh... And that is how we ended up with the bloated mess of Windows 10 of have now. I don't understand why they can't use the old NT platforms as a base for a new and fresh OS. This was what I liked about Windows 8/8.1. It was slightly more bloated than 7, but was still light enough on hardware that you could run it smoothly on a dual core CPU from 2009 and only 4 GB RAM (and I mean the 64 bit version).

My Lenovo B490 has 2012 hardware and Windows 8 Pro, even after all the updates and shit, is still running smoothly on it, having slowed down negligibly over the years. And that's on just 6 GB RAM and a 5400 RPM HDD.

If the games I like (or most games) were also on Linux, I'd jump on to Ubuntu faster than @JoeJoe on to new songs that he likes.

This I have heard. But what is the use of few second boot up times if the OS as a whole might be bloated? I'll take a light and simple OS that works well but boots up as slow as XP SP3 did back in the day.
