"On Neji’s death - Kobayashi comments that there were many casualties during the war, but he was surprised about Neji, and asks Kishimoto why he was chosen. Kishimoto explains that because he decided to make Hinata into the lead heroine a while back, he used Neji’s death as a way to bring her and Naruto together. He goes on to explain that although there is the scene where she stands up to Pain, he wanted to create an opening for Naruto to consciously realize that she is by his side and thank her for that, so he used Neji’s death to do this. Kishimoto says that in this way Neji sort of took on the role of cupid for the two of them. He then explains that it was at this time when Kishimoto came up with the name of ‘Bolt’ for their son, which has a similar meaning to ‘Neji’ (screw), as a homage to the late uncle who brought his parents together. Kishimoto says that ‘if’ there is a manga about Bolt (nb: it wasn’t confirmed by this point), he wants to include scenes focusing on Neji. Kobayashi asks if it’s ok to mention something like this [project], and Kishimoto says that this is only hypothetical."

Indeed he did, and he also said he's bad at romance. So why even get yourself it that mess to begin with? It's like in his mind female characters MUST be pairing fodder by default, so he can't possibly write them differently. He said he wrote Sakura to be as realistic as he could, so that's what a realistic female character to him ? He also said that she would be a regarded as a "bad" woman if she didn't end up with Sasuke smh, and that as she was getting unpopular (because of his bad writing), he stopped trying to expand on her and was thinking of making Hinata the main heroine. And you know what being a main heroine meant to him? Yes, being paired with Naruto. Not developing her or anything.

It's just that animals are unpredictable by nature and babies are even more so, so I always get uncomfortable looking at vids/gifs like that.

I was talking about the things you just mentioned. It's true Kage Bunshin was his 'cheat code' to do less training in record time, but at least it was an effective/creative use of that technique. I always found it annoying how he used those clones or rather spammed their use in his fights, which made them mostly boring and not enjoyable to watch. Training for FRS was the first time where having that technique was truly relevant, I believe.
Btw, I know you're gonna mention how lame was it when Pain was tricked by a clone , but I'm strictly talking about the training itself here. u_u
Do you remember that flashy Manga cover dedicated to that scene, with Neji being represented as a "phoenix" in the background? I believe Kishi was about to draw him as a Cupid above their heads while they hold hands, but someone reasonable talked him out of it.
I didn't expect Tenten to be depicted that cold towards Neji's death. They were teammates....just for how long exactly?

Isn't it just ironic, how the female character of the k12 that kishi didn't even seem to remember and was most likely introduced to fill in the team of Guy, was the only one whose life wasn't revolving around a romantic interest?

Yes. But that only prevents Windows 10 OS updates from downloading in the background. You also have to check a box that gives you the option of disabling auto-download for updates to other MS products, which I had not done. That setting is nicely hidden away, which is pretty ******* shady.
