Yes, I know the way he won some his fights was bulshitty (specially when TNJ is involved lol), but so is the case of most Shouen main characters tbh. Naruto did have some pretty enjoyable and imaginative "training arcs" tho.
As for that Neji fight, it was full of hypocrisy not gonna lie, and what happens to Neji later just added insult to injury. Kishi literally said he made Neji the Cupid to Naruhina, so the ones that argue that Neji died by own own will to break the Hyuga curse are mostly doing damage control. He died for a ship lmao.

I agree, Guy should have died honorably then & there. By achieving the highest form/level of Taijutsu skills and protecting his dear disciple, he did everything he wanted to do. Him living the rest of his life on wheelchair was more of a punishment he did nothing to deserve.

Indeed, the female characters were written solely based on their romantic interests without having much else defining them. There wasn't a single female character that had an independent ambition of her own. <_<
