    @Gobb how do i check if my ethernet port on my PC works? my wifi adapter is ancient and doesnt detect 5Ghz so I can't get 100mbps on pc, when I connect ethernet to bro's laptop it works, but not on my pc

    Even if you got a mate to play with? Depends the type of game tho.
    I don't think there's really a surefire way. Try updating the drivers/chipset and if it doesn't work I would assume it is faulty. You could probs get a cheap usb wifi dongle thing
