Speaking of Italy, It's believed that this disastrous situation they're in is primarily because of how lightly they handled things at first. And this is exactly what's happening here too, people are still having the mindset of "I'm not scared of it " or "it's just a regular flu, it won't do nothing to me" deliberately ignoring the people with weak immunity or chronic conditions.

It is not Italian government's fault totally since they are not hiding the numbers and they don't have experience in handling such things. Chinese on other hand had a very robust system of tackling such disease since SARS outbreak 2002

The Nipah virus outbreak wasn't that difficult to control, mostly because it is absolutely nowhere near as contagious as members of the coronavirus family. Buy, yeah, thank goodness the outbreak happened in one of India's best equipped and most well educated states.

I was not blaming the gov of Italy in particular; I’m mostly talking about the people themselves. People don’t follow the instructions properly and infect each other. It's also because of our people living there returning 'home' at inappropriate time that we even got any cases at all.
