I've read somewhere that Boku No Hero Academia is entering it's final stage. Realistically if no time skip happened and if Midoriya or others didn't grew up. I'm saying this now. Boku no Hero is trash at that very moment if non of that happened.

Main characters are basically 16y old. Them being the next big thing at that age is absolute shit writing.

That's a good point.

That's the problem with shounen series. They prop up 12 to 16 year olds as the next big thing while shitting on the older generation (often even going as far as to portray the older generation as being the source of most-or-all of the problems in the series). They do, after all, target that age demographic as a primary audience.

Oh, my non-existent god...

It just occurred to me: Shounen series are the original "Okay, Boomer" sayers. They just use hundreds of chapters instead of two words.

Like how am I supposed to take it seriously then if a 16y old kit is destroying everyone

Well, the stories are for kids in the 12 to 16 demographic ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I guess they want to make the readers "feel empowered" by having someone of the same age bracket beat up or show up the big bad adults who caused most-or-all of the series' problems to begin with.
