Ok, I always thought the Jungle book was an ancient Indian folktale written by Indians, I didn't bother doing proper researches haha, so it's interesting to know it was written by an English man born in India, and even more so that he was that racist with imperialist dogma.
When we were children we didn't think much of the messages some cartoons were trying to convey, while I was reading about Kipling I found out that the jungle book has a bunch of 'lessons' such as "respect for authority, obedience, and knowing one's place in society with the law of the jungle" which is understandable given the man's mentality at the time.
...in short, childhood ruined, will never look at Mowgli the same again .

I also found a hilarious quote from him “There are only two divisions in the world...human beings and Germans”. He hated them them Germans lol.
