I dropped Boruto and am never going to pick it up again, but I must stress two things:

1. As in real life, long-lasting peace is a dream. Somebody will always cause trouble. World War II was supposed to be the war to end all wars. That clearly did not happen.

2. Naruto is still training child soldiers? Well, big Fooking deal. In real life, Switzerland - which is one of the world's most peaceful countries and refrains from participating in any war - every adult male citizen who is physically able has to go through militia training and must keep a SIG SG 550 rifle and 5.56 NATO ammo at home. And there are many other peaceful nations where there is mandatory military service for a minimum of six months to three years (with able bodied individuals escaping it being ostracised socially and in employment). In the Naruto universe, military training and service is just ingrained in their culture. A fairy tail ending where nations immediately disarm and stop doing what they've been doing for centuries is far stupider.

I won't address the other criticisms. I agree and disagree with them on some levels.

- Changes world upside down in a decade, forcing the whole world to abandon systems and a way of life that has been entrenched for centuries.
- How? How would he go about doing that? How would one construct a whole new system from scratch?

Good point. Training child soldiers for missions as an adult is one thing. Sending children on missions where they could die is another.

As you said, Naruto is not like our real life Earth. It's different. It has its own culture and its people have their own mindset. Sudden adoption of advanced technology in training is a big fundamental change in their educational system, something which people of that world would find hard to accept.
