I don't think anyone was selling anything as canon/non-canon. You'd be surprised by how lax the studio, Kishi and even japanese fans are with respect to what is canon and what is not. (Having multiple versions of the same thing is actually rather popular there.) It's mostly just folks on the net who rant about that.

Be that as it may, the manga didn't contain the third one so if you're really insisting on the canon being manga and movie then you'd be able to reconcile those two while dismissing anime as filler as is the usual drill.

 

PS I actually made a thread about canon/non-canon back in my last days on NB which was predictably either ignored or misunderstood but hey it's NB.

 

It was easy to identify filler and canon before ie anime was filler movie was filler while manga and db were canon and it was easy to notice inconsistencies

An example would be you cannot classify Hinata's protection technique as canon in anyway since its parent jutsu is 64 palms so hinata must know 64 palm to use that technique but she hadn't learned 64 palms till chap 633 i think
Same was you cannot say hinata using mystic palm is canon since medical ninjutsu requires yang release which hinata does not have

While other non Canon things can be counted as possibly canon like sakura using painful sky leg which just chakra conc to increase strength or made a case for her using yin seal release since can use creation rebirth or sasuke and obito being able to other six path powers since they have rinnegan and can use few paths or kakuzu having suiton via mask that was destroyed before battle

Now boruto and naruto shippuden at ending has so fucked between canon and fillers intermingling both together its very hard to know whats filler and whats canon

Even some points in manga are beyond fucked up like how exactly did so6p became juubi jin when he and hamura sealed the gedo mezo to moon

 

Here's a solution I proposed back on NB. Basically treat both as different continuities so that everything becomes canon, just not in the same continuity. Who even cares anymore though?

 

Obviously now i don't but on NB i was active on vs section and we needed to be very selective about what to consider canon what not

ie for hiashi One body blow and Twin lion fist can be used since he is leader of the clan or if char is pretty great in certain nature transformation ie tobirama he gets accessto basic jutsu of that elements ie water clone despite not showing it

BS like hinata can fly were considered nonsense nowadays people actually debate on that bs as its true

Ik lol LB was dishonest as hell and aim is a general nut unless he's faking it. NDS was a ceasepool of degeneracy so I rarely went in there

 

Nds did havd good load of sane members but people rarely listened to them

Kabuto told Tobi that Edo Tensei requires a live sacrifice. I am thinking that Kabuto was withholding information from Tobi and that he could use Edo Tensei on a dead body which means a living sacrifice is not mandatory.
