This chapter was an amazing cliff hanger hh
This manga is going great. The sense of impending doom is dominant, and does not rely on jump scares.

It really was, the situation looks so hopeless for the kids but god damn it keeps twisting into new territories.

I feel the hoods are human demon hybrids... they just don't look like pure demons.

The situation does seem hopeless. But I don't think the hooded figures are hostile. They had ample opportunities to kill/eat Emma and Ray.

As for their identities, human-demon hybrids seem a bit... Gross tbh. Maybe some lesser demons?

Hard to imagine lesser demons being so humanoid. The "wild" demon that chased Ray already looks like a lesser demon compared to the farmers, tbh.

Yeah! At least righy now it's hard to imagine that there'll be a happy ending

I dont think the hooded figures necessarily have the same goals as the demons, and they definitely dont look like them so hybrids would make sense
